I Want to Believe (spoiler free)
Well I now have seen the movie twice, with a third time approaching either tonight or tomorrow lol. I absolutely loved the movie, though I do have a few nitpicks (for instance - Scully as a brain surgeon?!). But still, it was great:) It was so cool to see Mulder and Scully again on the big screen, and I'm a shipper so of course I was extremely happy. Though I have to say the experience of going was not quite as good as I expected. I went to Pittsburgh Thursday night for the midnight showing, and there wasn't any 'waiting in line,' until maybe 15 minutes or so before they let us in, which for me is the part I enjoy and why I get there early - to talk to and meet people. I didn't really see a lot of die-hard fans and the theater was not sold out, probably at only about half capacity (though it is a huge theater space). Though getting VIP seats to sit in squashy armchairs was cool. I didn't take any photos since there wasn't really much to photograph. I am hoping it wasn't as full simply because there had been a 9pm showing (and wtf is up with that?!). Evidently some places in Pittsburgh, I guess the comic book store there, gave away tickets to an advanced screening. That pissed me off. The advanced screenings for the other movies I have been going to I got from the comic book store closer to me, but NDC had no mention of this one, only the movie I have been waiting years for:( Hell, I would have went all the way to NY for the premiere, if only they had had one there. Why do I have to be on the east coast? Lol. Friday evening at my second viewing was even less of an event. The theater was actually empty up until closer to the movie, and in the end the room was maybe a third full at most. I guess I'm just spoiled now with going to HP openings lol. I just hope it's just my town here, because if they don't make enough on this movie there may not be more (so go see it to help!!!!) I have written a review of the movie, that will soon be up on MediaBlvd. There is also an interview over there with the main cast and crew, unfortunately I had nothing to do with that. So stay tuned for the review and I also soon plan to post a fairly detailed recap that I started writing, though don't expect something as long as my normal recaps as I can't sit and rewind it, I only have the notes I took to go by. I will probably make at least one more post to rave (and maybe a little rant) about the movie as well. Did any of you see it? Let me know what you thought! And if you do go, be sure to stay until after the credits:)

Wow, a personal entry! I know lately they have all been mostly just about the interviews/articles I've been doing. Well, yesterday was my birthday so I thought I'd post about it and a few things that have been going on. First, last week we got a puppy, who we named Kiera (but we are calling her Kiki). I will be posting photos of her soon, she is so sweet:)

Yesterday for my birthday we went to Pittsburgh to see an advanced screening of Wanted, which I really enjoyed, but it was quite an experience. In the middle of the movie the electricity went out because of the storm - suddenly pitch black in the theater! After awhile eventually it started again but then stopped again at the end - the timing was really weird - it cut off at the point right before the credits which actually made the ending seem more powerful almost lol. We wanted to get home, hoping the storm was over (we had over an hour long ride ahead of us) and on the way the power went out again - right when we came to a light. I never really thought about the fact street lights could go out. It was black and we were already slightly lost/confused about how to get back on the main highway. Not a good way to travel. Well eventually we did make it home - though I think it may have fried something in the computer here. I finally got it to start but it said something about trying to overclock it, which we never did.

I did get some Harry Potter stuff - found some trading cards and necklaces at Hot Topic all on clearance which was cool. I ordered the action figure set finally with Lucius in it, but it still isn't here which is rediculous since I ordered it on the 19th. I'm going to call later and complain to amazon.

Other notes, I started reading the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and am hooked:)

And guess what else? I just realized 6 of my articles are up on the main page at MediaBlvd at once! (the 2 movie reviews, Matt Keeslar, Lesley Ann Warren, Mary McCormack, and Javi Grillo-Marxuach) 7 if you count that I at least called into the Brit Morgan interview and asked a question, lol.

We are going to Red Lobster (my favorite) for dinner tonight to celebrate, yay! Oh, and I won the Dead Zone DVDs I mentioned, lol. Happy Birthday to me!

Ok again not HP related, but I'm happy so I wanted to share...

Media Blvd. was lucky enough to be able to take part in an interview with Chris Olivero, who plays Declan on Kyle XY, and I was the lucky one to be a part of it. The interview took place today and we will be playing the audio from it on Bionic Angels, this week so please come and listen! You can also of course call in with your comments about the interview or anything else on our show. The show is scheduled for Thursday at 11:30 eastern (and goes to podcast after). There will also be an article (written by yours truly) and transcript available soon! You can stay up to date on this and other news at our community [info]bionicangels and of course at [info]scifivision and kylexyfans.com.

That being said, Bionic Angels will continue to be on weekly (although we will be changing times soon) to talk about all your favorite sci-fi shows. There is also a LOST spinoff coming soon, so stay tuned!

Ok, not HP related, but I'm excited, so...

We at Bionic Angels (the radio show I'm part of) were lucky enough to be granted an exclusive interview with Kevin Rankin (through Media Blvd), who plays Nathan on Bionic Woman, who is the tech guy who helps Jaime and has a crush on her. Kevin can also be seen in Friday Night Lights. We conducted the interview today and will be playing the audio from it tomorrow on Bionic Angels, so please come and listen! You can also of course call in with your comments about Bionic Woman or our show. It seems that Kevin is also interested in possibly appearing on our show in the future! So make sure to tune in tomorrow:) You can stay up to date on this and other news at our community [info]bionicangels and listen to the show at Bionic Angels . The show is at 11:30 pm eastern Thursday (and goes to podcast after). There will also be an article about the interview available soon as well.
