Back with another test, LOL. I switched the other phone for a Blackberry, though I need to find where to download an LJ client rather than use the browser. BTW, if someone has one and can chat through the Blackberry messenger, that would be cool, let me know, LOL. Anyway, this week is going to be fun, because tomorrow "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" comes out on DVD (though I have to rent it too since it's for Christmas, and I can't wait, LOL)! (BTW Does anyone know, the Blue-ray 2-pack has everything that the regular 3 disc one doesn't it?) And of course Wednesday at midnight, "Tales of Beedle the Bard" comes out! I think there is a release party! Hopefully I can get some pics and add them (and the "Twilight" ones). So more posts soon, LOL.

I know, it's been too long since my last post, and I'm not even home (I'm using my phone.) Anyway, I went to the midnight showing of "Twilight" in Pittsburgh! I really had a lot of fun, and loved the movie. I'll be writing a review of it soon. I took some pics, but the lj application I downloaded to the phone I can't get to work (I'm using the browser), so I don't know if I wll be able to post them from here. If not, I will later. I met some cool people and had a great time. Though now I feel like rereading "New Moon," lol. More coming soon!

Part Two...

Good news, I *finally* got The Storm from Borders yesterday! Barnes and Nobles sucks and didn't have it so I had to wait until I could get to Borders (don't have any near me). Bad news is something in the mall killed my allergies and now I have a sore throat and feel like crap. Of course on the plus side I figure this morning, great then I can just sit around all day and read my new book:) Unfortunately I remembered after the fact I had some work to get done, I still have two articles I have to write and I needed to update my sites with the new ones that are posted. I should though hopefully at least have some time this evening before our Bionic Angels show tonight. Problem is once I sit down with the Sons of Destiny books, I never want to stop! I have been so excited to read this one...Rydan...sigh...

Anyway...the other stuff I wanted to mention is that I have been making icons, I know I keep mentioning them, but I will get them up soon, I promise! Most are HP but there are some others such as Twilight ones like in this post (I so love this series, even if it is no Harry Potter, and I also absolutely loved The Host, by the same author, Stephenie Myers.) and I realized I still never put up the Heroes icons I made such a long time ago. So those are coming, with an intent to make some for Sweeney Todd possibly.

And lastly, I so love the new show Fringe, I am already so into it and have only seen the pilot! I really hope it does good and stays (you never know with FOX, they have awesome shows but they don't always last (ie Firefly, Harsh Realm, etc.). And on that note, keep your fingers and toes crossed that The Middleman is renewed!!!!

It's been awhile I know...

First, I know I've been sucking with updating my journal, it just seems like I've been so busy lately (that and sort of depressed to look at all the Terminus stuff I missed). Since I'm adding photos I'm going to make this post in two parts...

Ok so first off, I finally got my Tonner Snape doll! First I should say that I'm a photographer so I love taking photos of all kinds of things, and I know some people are going to think it's weird lol, but it was a lot of fun taking photos and posing the dolls. I figure, who knows maybe I can illustrate a fic or something later lol. So anyway, here are a few SSHG pics. I have some more and also some cool portraits of just Snape that I will eventually post, but for now here are a couple I put up...

Click for a larger pic and it will open in a new window

The X-Files and 8/18/99
This year I actually have a journal I keep fairly updated, so I wanted to take a minute and post about today. I am happy today, because it is 9 years to the day since I went on The X-Files set back in 1999 and met my idols. Even so many years later I still remember everything and it still means so much to me, and I am very thankful. I will always remember what a great experience it was and be so glad for the opportunity!

If you are interested, you can read what I wrote about the visit so long ago, or check out the transcribed article I wrote that was published in X-Pose magazine about the experience (I'm on the cover too!). (By the way, does the text look funny to anyone? For some reason on this one computer it's sort of messed up)

I finally have most of the pics up from meeting all these great people, (just follow the link on that page) but the gallery still needs some work and a few more added. (And I'm glad I looked because I realized that the one link to this gallery is redirected wrong I have to fix).

Also, I still have a lot of the location photos from my trips to link to that gallery yet. Eventually they will be there.

Thought I ought to make a post - if any of you have written me and not got a response, or wondered where I'm at, this past week I haven't been on the internet much. First Comcast wasn't working (and my email is still screwed up for that matter) and then my laptop decided to go bonkers. It's acting like I have a virus, but yet I have Spyware Doctor, etc. running that says everything is just fine. If everything is fine then why the frak does it take 5 minutes to click on an email message or load a webpage?! Anyway, sufficed to say, my laptop is out of commission right now. I've been getting email through webmail when I can on another computer here, but as I said it's having problems and half my mail isn't coming through. Anyway, the point is if I don't respond to something, or haven't updated something, that is why. I can't always access this computer lately...I sent a report thing to hopefully get my laptop in working order, but until then, just be patient and know that I haven't forgotten the fandom! If all of my stuff was backed up somewhere else of course it would help since I can't get access...I need to after this figure out how to network from Vista to XP, which is why none of it is backed up yet as I can't transfer to my other computer! Oh, and for anyone wondering, unfortunately I won't be coming to Terminus :( though don't stop sending me the info, I'm still reading/living vicariously.

Although in good news, I'm 99% sure (it's so fast, it's hard to tell) that my birthday is in The X-Files: I Want to Believe! In Nutter's feed store, there are numbers hanging on the wall (like you buy to put on your house with your address) and reading across on the one side it says 26 and it looks like above it is another 6 (June 26) so yay me! LOL.

Oh and don't forget to check out [info]middlecast, we have another special guest next week!

I Want to Believe (spoiler free)
Well I now have seen the movie twice, with a third time approaching either tonight or tomorrow lol. I absolutely loved the movie, though I do have a few nitpicks (for instance - Scully as a brain surgeon?!). But still, it was great:) It was so cool to see Mulder and Scully again on the big screen, and I'm a shipper so of course I was extremely happy. Though I have to say the experience of going was not quite as good as I expected. I went to Pittsburgh Thursday night for the midnight showing, and there wasn't any 'waiting in line,' until maybe 15 minutes or so before they let us in, which for me is the part I enjoy and why I get there early - to talk to and meet people. I didn't really see a lot of die-hard fans and the theater was not sold out, probably at only about half capacity (though it is a huge theater space). Though getting VIP seats to sit in squashy armchairs was cool. I didn't take any photos since there wasn't really much to photograph. I am hoping it wasn't as full simply because there had been a 9pm showing (and wtf is up with that?!). Evidently some places in Pittsburgh, I guess the comic book store there, gave away tickets to an advanced screening. That pissed me off. The advanced screenings for the other movies I have been going to I got from the comic book store closer to me, but NDC had no mention of this one, only the movie I have been waiting years for:( Hell, I would have went all the way to NY for the premiere, if only they had had one there. Why do I have to be on the east coast? Lol. Friday evening at my second viewing was even less of an event. The theater was actually empty up until closer to the movie, and in the end the room was maybe a third full at most. I guess I'm just spoiled now with going to HP openings lol. I just hope it's just my town here, because if they don't make enough on this movie there may not be more (so go see it to help!!!!) I have written a review of the movie, that will soon be up on MediaBlvd. There is also an interview over there with the main cast and crew, unfortunately I had nothing to do with that. So stay tuned for the review and I also soon plan to post a fairly detailed recap that I started writing, though don't expect something as long as my normal recaps as I can't sit and rewind it, I only have the notes I took to go by. I will probably make at least one more post to rave (and maybe a little rant) about the movie as well. Did any of you see it? Let me know what you thought! And if you do go, be sure to stay until after the credits:)

Wow, a personal entry! I know lately they have all been mostly just about the interviews/articles I've been doing. Well, yesterday was my birthday so I thought I'd post about it and a few things that have been going on. First, last week we got a puppy, who we named Kiera (but we are calling her Kiki). I will be posting photos of her soon, she is so sweet:)

Yesterday for my birthday we went to Pittsburgh to see an advanced screening of Wanted, which I really enjoyed, but it was quite an experience. In the middle of the movie the electricity went out because of the storm - suddenly pitch black in the theater! After awhile eventually it started again but then stopped again at the end - the timing was really weird - it cut off at the point right before the credits which actually made the ending seem more powerful almost lol. We wanted to get home, hoping the storm was over (we had over an hour long ride ahead of us) and on the way the power went out again - right when we came to a light. I never really thought about the fact street lights could go out. It was black and we were already slightly lost/confused about how to get back on the main highway. Not a good way to travel. Well eventually we did make it home - though I think it may have fried something in the computer here. I finally got it to start but it said something about trying to overclock it, which we never did.

I did get some Harry Potter stuff - found some trading cards and necklaces at Hot Topic all on clearance which was cool. I ordered the action figure set finally with Lucius in it, but it still isn't here which is rediculous since I ordered it on the 19th. I'm going to call later and complain to amazon.

Other notes, I started reading the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and am hooked:)

And guess what else? I just realized 6 of my articles are up on the main page at MediaBlvd at once! (the 2 movie reviews, Matt Keeslar, Lesley Ann Warren, Mary McCormack, and Javi Grillo-Marxuach) 7 if you count that I at least called into the Brit Morgan interview and asked a question, lol.

We are going to Red Lobster (my favorite) for dinner tonight to celebrate, yay! Oh, and I won the Dead Zone DVDs I mentioned, lol. Happy Birthday to me!
