Now I thought I would post some more about my favorite things...

When it comes to fandoms, besides Harry Potter, I love The X-Files (and anything else by Chris Carter), Stargate (SG-1 and Atlantis), LOST, Heroes, Firefly/Serenity, House, Grey's Anatomy, Bones, and Crossing Jordan to name a few. You can check out my profile to find out more.

Besides reading (and now writing!) fanfic for the fandoms I like, I also enjoy going to conventions and getting pictures with the stars. You can read about when I was on The X-Files set here. I also have a lot about the Stargate (and other) stars I met on Sci-Fi Vision (esp. under conventions). I also run the official fansites for Jason Schombing and Dan Payne.

The new thing I have been into now is the Official ABC LOST Webmaze. I spend a lot of time on the Lost-TV forum and in my Lost chatroom Borkovision.

Some of my favorite movies include, The X-Files: Fight the Future, Stargate, Harry Potter (all), The Matrix (all), Donnie Darko, The Secretary, Eragon, Lord of the Rings Trillogy, The Riddick Trillogy, Labrynth, Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Minority Report, and Dark City.

For music, my favorite singers are Bree Sharp and Weird Al Yankovich (both of which I've met!). I also love American Idol.

For books, I love of course The X-Files books (especially Skin), Harry Potter (all), The Inheritance Trilogy (Eragon, etc.), The Giver, Body of Evidence (series), and Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Bad Twin by Gary Troup, and most recently I found out that one of my favorite fanfiction authors, Jean Johnson, has a book series, The Sons of Destiny. So far I have the first two.

My favorite actors and actresses are obviously mostly from the shows that I like. I love all of the actors from The X-Files and Harry Potter of course. I still am enamored with David Duchovny and have a huge crush on Jason Isaacs.

Hello, and welcome to my new and improved Live Journal. I decided to make the first posts an introduction (basically what is in my profile for now). I decided to completely edit it and use multiple posts and an lj-cut.

My name is Jamie, and I recently graduated (December 2005) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree. It was an independent curriculum including Art & Tech, Information Tech, and Theater. It is for Digital Photography and Web design, plus acting. I have been designing web sites for years. I also enjoy creating 3-D art using Maya, Poser and other programs. I also love to write, especially poetry.

I decided to change this journal to be specifically for my Harry Potter writings and art. I will soon have a link to another journal containing all my non-HP writings and art.

I have been reading HP fanfic for awhile now but just recently started writing it as well. I generally read SS/HG or DM/HG fic. Right now besides on my journal you can read my fanfic on The Petulant Poetess. I also now host a fanfiction group, The Harry Potter Fanfiction Revival.

Online I go by the handles of Merlina (or merlina-thalia or some combination), scullygirl or scullygirl818, or xthejfilesx.

Even though this journal is for HP, in the next post I will talk about other things I like.
